High Five for Friday

high five for friday

I’ve missed a few months of high five-ing so I decided 2015 was a good time to bring it back!  Here we go:)

1. On Wednesday, I finished one of my yearly goals – 600 miles of walking and running!

2. We rang in 2015 with some of our Augusta friends – a perfect way to start the new year!Happy 2015 | Atwell Adventures

3. All of our Christmas decor has been put away and while that makes me a little bit sad, I’m excited about the clean slate of a new year!

4. Friday marked the end of our holiday schedules, so we are officially in 2015!

5. We’re currently on stand-by mode awaiting the arrival of niece #5!  I’m really hoping we’ll get the call on one the days we’re off work so we can make a quick trip to Florida to meet the new babe!Monogram Bag | Atwell AdventuresHappy, happy weekend!

Happy 2015!

Two thousand and fifteen.  I kept telling G that 2015 sounds like something from the future, but I guess here we are – in the future!

Our home is almost back in post-Christmas order and our schedules return to normal tomorrow. 2014 was an adventure and I’m looking forward to fresh calendars and new experiences.

Last year was my first full year of working on monthly goals, and I found that I’m much more accountable to myself when I hit publish, so here I am again!

Here’s what I’m working on this month:

  • establish and stick to a weekday morning routine beginning at 6am
  • organize 2015 binder
  • blog 2-3 times per week
  • try three new dinner recipes
  • welcome/visit Baby Martin
  • read one book
  • complete running and walking goals and lift weights 3x a week

My December goals are closed, but here’s how they turned out.

  • complete daily Advent readings with G
  • host holiday dinner and party {read about it here}
  • create one new Christmas tradition to carry forward {taking December treats to our neighbors}
  • order, address, and mail Christmas cards {check}
  • catch up on running/walking plans {I made it to my yearly goal of 600 miles!}
  • design my personal 2015 planner {still in progress}
  • print 2015 monthly calendars {found it just need to print}
  • take cookies to our neighbors {I decided on cinnamon rolls instead}

And with that, I leave 2014 behind and welcome 2015!  What are you working on this month?

2014 in review

Another 365 days and year gone by.  This year brought us our first full year of being married.  There were blessings, announcements, decisions, health scares, and celebrations.  I feel like we experienced alot of different things, and I’m grateful to have had Gary by my side through them all.

Most of all, I’m thankful for a year of understanding my God’s grace in a deeper way.  He is so, so, so good and I’m thankful that He always upholds us wherever we are and whatever is going on around us.  Once again, we leave this year grateful for the Lord’s guidance, direction, protection and healing!
