Monthly Goals

december 2014 goals

Happy December, friends!  I absolutely LOVE this time of year; it’s truly my favorite.  The lights, decor, traditions, songs – it’s all so, so good.Atwell Christmas Tree 2014

And while I think its certainly wonderful to celebrate and enjoy all of these things, I don’t want to lose sight of rejoicing over our Savior’s entrance into the world.  May He be the focus and center of our lives, not just this month but always!

  • complete daily Advent readings with G
  • host holiday dinner and party
  • create one new Christmas tradition to carry forward
  • order, address, and mail Christmas cards
  • catch up on running/walking plans
  • design my personal 2015 planner
  • print 2015 monthly calendars
  • take cookies to our neighbors

And before I forget about November completely, here’s how those goals turned out!

Twelve days into November and I’m JUST sitting down to write out my November goals.  Better late than never, right?

I have good reason though, we’ve been helping this one prepare for her wedding this past weekend!

31 days – fall 2014 – learning contentment

About two weeks into my 31 days series, I saw an article on The Gospel Coalition called “Contentment Does Not Come Naturally“.

Its been a good reminder that contentment isn’t a natural inclination, but rather something we have to learn and practice.

This 31 days series has been good for me in alot of ways, mostly because it allowed me to focus on the positive and find joy in this season.  I hope wherever you are, you find the same!
