Monthly Goals

november 2015 goals

Happy November… 6th! πŸ™‚

Nothing like being consistent in posting monthly goals days after the month starts.

So let’s talk about October 2015. The month that I had planned on my calendar looked a lot different than reality.

  • continue training and sign up for the half in November – didn’t get to train as much as I would have liked but I’m signed up to run tomorrow!
  • get back in the kitchen and coooook, cook, cook – not as much as I would have liked
  • organize every area of the house and purge {we have a small-ish house, so this is do-able if I pace myself} – didn’t even attempt
  • celebrate turning 29 – the only item that gets checked off – thanks to Gary πŸ™‚

So much for goals, huh?

These past couple of months have been a lot different than I had planned. They’ve been filled with lots of inconveniences, frustrations, obstacles and heartache. But through all of it, Scripture reminds me of an important truth…

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬

While I’m confident these moments have been small in comparison to others trials, I’m thankful that my Savior can use even my weakest moments to refine me.

So with that I pray that I’ll continue to be joyful, even in trials. Β And as I enter this Thanksgiving season, I’m grateful for new beginnings that the Lord offers us.

Here are the things I hope to be working on this month…

  • prep for Christmas cards
  • send Mada thank you notes
  • begin looking at houses
  • car shopping (thankfully, this item actually got crossed off earlier this week!)
  • clean and organize the house
  • continue work on walking and running goals
  • run a half! (on our way to Savannah right now!!! Ahhhhh!)

What are your November goals?

  1. Happy belated 29th birthday! I turned 29 this year as well, back in June. It’s interesting knowing you’re in your LAST YEAR of your twenties! Also, good luck on house hunting!

    1. ahhh! I didn’t know we were birthyear twins πŸ˜‰ Happy belated to you too! It is a crazy feeling but I’m excited for what lies ahead. The 20’s will be hard to beat πŸ™‚ Thanks for the well wishes on house hunting! I’m trying to enjoy the process – however long it takes.
