High Five for Friday

high five for friday

Halfway through August, already? It’s a busy month but I’m anxiously awaiting these last couple of weeks.  Here’s to slowing down and enjoying the little moments in life!

1. One morning this week one of my old coworkers posted this video, which just happens to show some of the finest senior citizens in Middle Georgia whipping and nae-naeing (Did I ever mention that I worked at retirement community for the first five years post college?).  High five for all the Carlyle Place residents and staff that participated and made this happen 😉

2. As I was finishing one of my runs this week I spotted somethings in our community dumpster. High five for free finds!

3. On Monday I finally got to have a very overdue lunch with my long lost friend Jill! High five for the first of many catch ups!

4. Last night our kickball team played its final game of the season. High five to Bert’s Beards for summer fun!

5. I’m not much of a reader, but my night stand currently has 6 books on it – and they’re all great! High five for reading!

Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

A quick recap of another hot week in Augusta.

1.) Last Saturday G had to work so I spent most of the morning in bed reading. High five for a lazy Saturday morning!  2. Monday was spent with an hour long massage that I’ve been looking forward to for a few months. High five for a little stress relief to start out the week!

3. I picked up a book on tidying (sounds silly, right?) and I’ve been trying to do a better job of putting things away everyday. High five for a more organized home!

4. I’m on the search for some custom slipcovers for two of our chairs and I might have found someone who can do it! High five for hopefully having matching chairs soon!    5. Today marks 14 months until I turn 3-0. High five for the mini-freak out that’s going on inside my head! 😉

Happy weekend!

ahhh, the weekend.

Tomorrow’s schedule is full – but full of things I should do, but not necessarily have to do. I love these kind of days to hit refresh.

1. Atwell Nephew Niece Adventures was so fun {blog post coming soon!} and our house is back in order. High five for 48 hours with 8 of the cutest kids around! 2. I’ve taken a few days off of running/training and I’m excited to get back into next week. High five for a rest!

3. Speaking of exercise, G and I are just a few workouts away from finishing T-25. High five for almost being done “FOCUSING”!

4. I booked a massage for this upcoming week. High five for a long overdue reward!

5. It’s been a busy season with work but over and over again I’m thankful to be doing something with purpose. High five for a job I love!

Happy weekend 🙂
