Another Friday, another set of high fives.  Let’s gooooo!

1. We started working on our backyard this past week – yay for progress! 

2. Last Saturday night we had dinner with one of my friend’s from college, Laurie and her husband Phillip.  It was a fun reunion and we’re excited to have them as “neighbors” in our new city! On the way home, G and I stopped by Dippin Dots to pick up dessert.  Bonus points for the city of Augusta for making both things happen!

3.  G started seminary this week!

4. This week we found two new-to-us pieces for our home: a desk {which I’ll tell you about next week} and a lamp.  Even better that both cost just $30!

5. I finally got up the courage to use my Vitamix and I’m in love.  I’ve think February is going to be my month of Vitamix experiments! 

And the honorable “you don’t get a high five” goes to Alan at the Department of Driver Services.

Here we are again – FRIDAY! I think by doing these Friday updates, the week seems to go by even faster.

Or maybe that’s just me getting older 😉 But let’s not talk about that… Here we go!

1. Last weekend we made a trip to Jos. A. Banks to pick out a suit for G! A few weeks before he finished his time in the Marines, he learned about a promotion through the Gary Sinise Foundation called Uniform of Success.  He looks pretty good in his new gray suit!

2. Tomorrow I finish my second week on the Couch to 5K plan!

3. With Ruthie’s visit last weekend, we made some of these cookies. Gold sprinkles only make them that much better. Recipe coming soon!

4. EAS! EAS! EAS!

5. A little blog housekeeping went on this week, yay for more organization!

Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!  {Sorry if I just got that Rebecca Black gem stuck in your head.}

I’m excited the weekend is finally here – my sister Ruthie is coming for a visit! But before she arrives, let’s rewind to all that went on this week.

1. I’ve been to Lowe’s many times but never ventured to this side of the store. Did you know they will cut wood for you? How wood-er-ful. {see what I did there?}

2. On Tuesday, we celebrated our six month-a-versary with dessert at The Boll Weevil Cafe & Sweetery.  And yes, the chocolate cake I ordered {that had layer of cheesecake in the middle!} is the size of Gary’s head.

3. I finished these letters for our laundry room.

4. We purchased our first piece of furniture! Say hello to Carson!

5. Last night we started Downton Abbey season 4.  The episode didn’t disappoint but this is the first I’ve ever watched it in “real time” before, so I’m not sure what to think of having to wait a few days for the next episode.
