High Five for Friday

high five for friday

(Taps mic) Hello? Oh, gooood still works:)

Hello from hot and humid Martinez, Georgia.  I say hot and humid because that’s the only thing on my mind right now.  You see, this morning when I woke up, going for a run sounded not-so-fun, but I knew I needed to go today to help meet my monthly goal so I told myself I’d go after work.

BIG. MISTAKE.

The heat index was 102! Noooo, thank you. Three and a half miles later {which about 1/4 of that was walking} I get home and I’m practically a puddle. Lesson learned: get my bum out of bed in the MORNING and exercise.

Now, onto more positive things – like high fives!  Let’s see, these will span over the last few weeks since there’s been little updates from me, so here goes!

1. G’s mom got an outstanding report from the doctor last week! High five for answered prayers!

2. Speaking of good reports and answered prayers, my sister is halfway through her pregnancy and they found out yesterday that IT’S A GIRL! High five for being an aunt again {this one makes #10}!

3. These last few weeks have been a little crazy at work for G, but I think we’re back to normal. High five for being finished with overtime!

4. A friend from church let me borrow Trim Healthy Mama! High five for learning more about the plan I’ve been hearing about for so long!

5. Last weekend I decided it was finally time to purchase the rest of our dishes from our wedding registry. Thankfully, we still had/have gift cards from our wedding! High five for shopping and not spending any of our monthly budget!

Hope you all have a great weekend! And remember, get your bottoms out of bed in the morning;)

2.This past weekend, I finalllllly cleaned our house {it had been a little chaotic since our trip} and finished painting a desk and filing cabinet in our guest room! High five for order, clean clothes, and projects being complete!

3. This week we’ve had three visitors: my mom, my sister Ruthie, and Gary’s dad! High five for time with our family!

4. Getting our house back in order gave me some inspiration to get back into regular exercise. Another thing that made it a little bit easier to get up and out in the morning? The BEAUTIFUL weather we’ve been having! High five for beautiful mornings walks!

5. Last night I ordered a little wedding album! While its not one that I’ll want to use forever, I was sad that all of our wedding pictures were just sitting on a computer. High five for bringing wedding pictures to our home!

Hope y’all have a great weekend!

High Five for Friday

high five for friday

Oh July, where oh where have you snuck off to? I’d really appreciate it if you would slow down… but also tone it down with the humidity.

Is that too much to ask? Yes?

I guess I’ll quit being a negative nancy and move onto GOOD things that happened this last week!

1. I got new tennis shoes {which is only about 2 years overdue}. High five for shoes so bright I will never have to worry about wearing a neon running vest! 😉

2. We went to our second Braves game of the season this past Saturday. High five for friends, front row, and Cookout milkshakes to finish out the day! {thumbs down for me being a Braves jinx…}

3. On Sunday afternoon I realized that our tv didn’t require certain cables meaning I could move it to a different wall. High five for a new room layout!

4. Today we started our morning off at a little breakfast place that came recommended to us. High five for sleepy breakfasts with G!

5. A year ago today, I started writing on Atwell Adventures. High five to all the memories this space holds for us!

Happy weeeeeeekend!
