Happy 2015!

Happy 2015 | Atwell Adventures

Two thousand and fifteen.  I kept telling G that 2015 sounds like something from the future, but I guess here we are – in the future!

Our home is almost back in post-Christmas order and our schedules return to normal tomorrow. 2014 was an adventure and I’m looking forward to fresh calendars and new experiences.

Last year was my first full year of working on monthly goals, and I found that I’m much more accountable to myself when I hit publish, so here I am again!

Here’s what I’m working on this month:

  • establish and stick to a weekday morning routine beginning at 6am
  • organize 2015 binder
  • blog 2-3 times per week
  • try three new dinner recipes
  • welcome/visit Baby Martin
  • read one book
  • complete running and walking goals and lift weights 3x a week

My December goals are closed, but here’s how they turned out.

  • complete daily Advent readings with G
  • host holiday dinner and party {read about it here}
  • create one new Christmas tradition to carry forward {taking December treats to our neighbors}
  • order, address, and mail Christmas cards {check}
  • catch up on running/walking plans {I made it to my yearly goal of 600 miles!}
  • design my personal 2015 planner {still in progress}
  • print 2015 monthly calendars {found it just need to print}
  • take cookies to our neighbors {I decided on cinnamon rolls instead}

And with that, I leave 2014 behind and welcome 2015!  What are you working on this month?

Monthly Goals

Happy December, friends!  I absolutely LOVE this time of year; it’s truly my favorite.  The lights, decor, traditions, songs – it’s all so, so good.Atwell Christmas Tree 2014

And while I think its certainly wonderful to celebrate and enjoy all of these things, I don’t want to lose sight of rejoicing over our Savior’s entrance into the world.  May He be the focus and center of our lives, not just this month but always!

  • complete daily Advent readings with G
  • host holiday dinner and party
  • create one new Christmas tradition to carry forward
  • order, address, and mail Christmas cards
  • catch up on running/walking plans
  • design my personal 2015 planner
  • print 2015 monthly calendars
  • take cookies to our neighbors

And before I forget about November completely, here’s how those goals turned out!

  • celebrate the #QueenPageWedding Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Page!
  • prepare for this month’s wedding shower and a baby shower Wedding shower and baby shower complete! Thankful to celebrate new life adventures with family and friends!
  • prepare for next month’s holiday dinner worked on menu, to-do list, and sent e-vites

  • decide on Thanksgiving and Christmas plans – Both families, both holidays!

  • start working on Christmas cards and address list – I think I have an idea for design, and the address list has been edited! Just need to finish up, order and mail!

Twelve days into November and I’m JUST sitting down to write out my November goals.  Better late than never, right?

I have good reason though, we’ve been helping this one prepare for her wedding this past weekend!
