High Five for Friday

high five for friday(s)

High five for Friday(s) because somehow this month has gone by without any update.

And that somehow is really just a whole lot of calendar items, work, to do list additions, and “I don’t want to stare at a computer or phone to post an update”.

I’ve realized that this is all a part of life and in the grand scheme of things everything is really ok, but for my I-want-to-be-organized brain it’s all a little, ok, ALOT less organized.

Thankfully, there are a few things that have helped this month, and they’ll be my high fives, because sometimes you just have to focus on the good stuff.

1. I’ve been able to talk through my stress with my husband, family, and a few close friends. High five for having a group of people that will encourage and pray for me!

2. This month was probably the worst month I could have chosen to do Whole30, and while I haven’t done it perfectly, the discipline to eat well with everything going on has helped immensely. High five for enjoying good food and healthier decisions! {but seriously, come Thursday? #BringMeALatte😉}  3. I somehow managed to steal a bed off of Craigslist user… and by steal I mean only paid $25 for a king size bed. High five for the sweet woman that made it possible – and to the rest of Augusta for not snatching it up sooner! 4. Last Friday, my busy morning turned into an unfortunate one when I was rear ended from behind and into another car. High five that our cars got the worst of the accident and that it wasn’t worse!

5. I’ve got a long way to go in Scripture memorization, but when I feel myself getting overwhelmed I try to remember, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3-4‬. High five for the Word that draws me closer to Him and remembering He is in control – FOREVER.

Hope y’all enjoy this first weekend of fall!
