About two weeks into my 31 days series, I saw an article on The Gospel Coalition called “Contentment Does Not Come Naturally“.

Its been a good reminder that contentment isn’t a natural inclination, but rather something we have to learn and practice.

This 31 days series has been good for me in alot of ways, mostly because it allowed me to focus on the positive and find joy in this season.  I hope wherever you are, you find the same!

 

Sometimes I get lazy and fall of the cleaning track.  It’s easy to skip a day or two of cleaning and before I know it, I have a full Saturday of work to do {eh-hmmm, not my ideal way to spend a Saturday}.

So instead, I try to simplify by doing a little each day. Some weeks are easier than others, but when I do daily tasks, its much easier to be content with our home.

What are some ways you try to stay on track of home organization and cleaning?

When you’re in a home, its natural to want to fill a space.

As we’ve settled in and bought things here in there, we’ve tried to also continue to purge. Clothes, books, knick-nacks… it’s easy to accumulate things.

But before complaining about lack of space {something I think we’re all guilty of}, try to get rid of things you don’t use or need anymore.
