High Five for Friday

high five for friday

A quick recap of another hot week in Augusta.

1.) Last Saturday G had to work so I spent most of the morning in bed reading. High five for a lazy Saturday morning!  2. Monday was spent with an hour long massage that I’ve been looking forward to for a few months. High five for a little stress relief to start out the week!

3. I picked up a book on tidying (sounds silly, right?) and I’ve been trying to do a better job of putting things away everyday. High five for a more organized home!

4. I’m on the search for some custom slipcovers for two of our chairs and I might have found someone who can do it! High five for hopefully having matching chairs soon!    5. Today marks 14 months until I turn 3-0. High five for the mini-freak out that’s going on inside my head! 😉

Happy weekend!

High Five for Friday

high five for friday

ahhh, the weekend.

Tomorrow’s schedule is full – but full of things I should do, but not necessarily have to do. I love these kind of days to hit refresh.

1. Atwell Nephew Niece Adventures was so fun {blog post coming soon!} and our house is back in order. High five for 48 hours with 8 of the cutest kids around! 2. I’ve taken a few days off of running/training and I’m excited to get back into next week. High five for a rest!

3. Speaking of exercise, G and I are just a few workouts away from finishing T-25. High five for almost being done “FOCUSING”!

4. I booked a massage for this upcoming week. High five for a long overdue reward!

5. It’s been a busy season with work but over and over again I’m thankful to be doing something with purpose. High five for a job I love!

Happy weekend 🙂

Monthly Goals

august 2015 goals

On Sunday someone told me they were moving on the 31st.  I asked, “the 31st of July or August?”

Well wouldn’t you know, we were already into August. #whoops  So time may have slipped by a little bit quicker than I expected.  I completed a few goals, but didn’t scratch off as many as I would have liked.  Here’s how I finished…

  • clean out guest bedroom and closet
  • clean out under master and guest beds
  • host a nephew and niece weekend
  • host a going away party for a friend
  • celebrate 4th of July, our 2 year anni, my parent’s 42nd wedding anni, my oldest brother’s 40th, friend’s 1 year old party, and a wedding {deeeeeeeep breathhhhs}
  • catch up on overdue blog posts
  • memorize five verses
  • finish June book and start/finish July book
  • continue Romans study
  • photobooks – 2013 and 2014 “family yearbooks” and wedding album

And here’s what I’m looking at for the eighth month of 2015.  Crazzzzy…

  • catch up on overdue blog posts
  • refinish trays
  • print pictures
  • complete anniversary gifts
  • finish book wreath
  • get a massage
  • check on physicals for October
  • backup pictures and install new ram
  • work on photobooks
  • begin thank you notes
  • research Whole 30 (and maybe commit for September?)
  • register and train for half marathon (eeeeeps!)

Here goes!  Happy August!
