High Five for Friday

high five for friday

This time last week we were making the drive from Atlanta back to Augusta after our Madagascar adventure! Time hasn’t slowed down much . . . except in those moments where drowsiness quickly hits and all I want to do is crawl in bed. But those moments are less and less, and we’ve mostly settled back into our routine! Here’s a few things from this week:)

1. Saturday and Monday were rest days for us and boy did we rest. In fact, I’m not really sure if anything got accomplished other than 6+ loads of laundry. High five for simple days!

2. This week we started T-25 and it’s as difficult as I imagined it would be. High five for it being only 25 minutes {although probably the longest 25 minutes of my day:)}!

{a candid selfie I sent to my sisters showing them I made it without throwing up. 😂}

3. One thing I really missed while we were away? Fresh fruits and veggies. High five for being able to stock our fridge early Saturday morning and make up for lost time!

4. Speaking of making up for lost time, I was able to get some walking and running in this week and it felt so good to be moving. High five for cool mornings that only make that time better!

5. We got our bookshelves in on Wednesday and G put them all together last night. High five for a hard working husband!

happy Friday, kittens!

High Five for Friday

high five for friday

Here we are on another weekend eve! I always love waking up on Friday morning knowing that Saturday morning is close. Today was no different. I think the first {coherent} words out of my mouth were, “we get to sleep in tomorrow!” #ImAChild

So all sleeping and laziness confessions aside, here’s how the week went!

1. We had our last hands on fundraiser before Madagascar and with it, it looks like our trip is either fully funded or really close! High five for God’s provision and goodness in allowing our teams to raise money!

2. Shortly after we finished the fundraiser last Saturday we drove to Atlanta for a Braves game and a mini family reunion with my brother, sister-in-law, and his in-laws. High five for time with them… even though the Braves lost!   3. Speaking of family, I got to see these lambs this week! High five for a sweet visit with these littles! 4. Our friends’ dog had puppies! High five for being able to hold this ittle bitty baby this week!   5. On Wednesday, we took our last vitamins and said goodbye to the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. High five for completing, learning a lot, and the celebrating with pizza last night!  Happppppy weekend! 🙂

High Five for Friday

high five for friday – on saturday

Yesterday was a full one from start to finish so recording my high fives got overlooked. But that’s what Saturday morning is for, especially when you’re up at 6:15am on a Saturday because your husband is working the weekend shift:)

Here are my high fives!

1. This past Monday I had a WAY overdue phone call with one of my best friends in Kentucky. High five for KitttttttyKat and all the weirdness that occurred!

2. Only one week left to finish my walking and running goals for April, and thankfully I’m on track. High five for staying active!

3. We finished the 10 day cleanse phase and reached the halfway point in our Advocare Challenge yesterday. High five for feeling good and the shakes we FINALLY get to enjoy!

4. Speaking of cleanse, I feel like we’ve been going to bed earlier since starting, mostly because we’ve had to wake up earlier too. High five for feeling rested in the mornings!

5. Yesterday I was able to meet up with some friends before heading into work. High five for accountability, prayer, and having people that point you to Christ!

Happy weekend!
