31 days – fall 2013 – sick days
Things that aren’t fun: feeling sick.
Things that make my heart smile when I’m feeling sick: having a husband that takes care of me.
Thankful.

Happy Saturday!
Weekends are my favorite.
I get to spend more time with G. We go out to dinner on Saturday and church on Sunday. I don’t have cleaning to do around the apartment. And I prepare for a new week.
One of the ways I prepare? Meal planning!
I enjoy cooking, but I always have a hard time deciding what to cook. So a couple of months ago, I decided to try out meal planning.
Meal planning takes a few minutes but has helped me save time and money. Whenever I make my weekly grocery run, I refer to my plan to add to my list and stay on budget.
But my favorite part of meal planning? Not having to decide what to cook everyday! Instead, I just open up my cabinet door and see what I wrote down for on my dinner plan.
Do you meal plan?
During our first week at home, I decided that cleaning should be my responsibility. After all, I didn’t want to ask G to clean toilets after he had worked for 10+ hours and I had, well, watched six episodes of The Office.
Instead of wondering when the last time I vacuumed, I decided to work off of a little sheet I found on Pinterest. What can I say… a to do list makes everything better, especially when it’s prettier to look at it!

Some days I decide to double up, but usually that’s only because I’ve skipped something the day before. And psst, don’t tell anyone but I only do the baseboards that don’t have furniture in front of them.
The best part of this list is that in our size apartment, if I do this every week, it usually only takes about 15-30 minutes a day.
What are ways that you make cleaning easier?
