31 days – fall 2014 – exploring neighborhoods

What I’m about to say may not sound like I’m being content with my renting status, but hear me out.

I love exploring new neighborhoods. I like picking out my favorite houses, looking at landscapes, imagining what they’re like on the inside, and even try to figure out how much they cost.

I’m sure the fun in this won’t change after we own a home, but I imagine it would be a little less exciting. So for now, my explorations continue.

31 days – fall 2014 – introduce yourself

Since we’ve lived in this home, we’ve tried to make a little bit of effort to meet our neighbors. Sure it can be {and easy} a little awkward at first, but doing things like baking brownies and inviting them over for dinner, are easy ways that we’ve been able to love the people God has allowed us to live around.

Find purpose and opportunities where you’re at – even if it’s just a season.

31 days – fall 2014 – opening your doors

Tonight we hosted our weekly home group from church.

This is the first semester we’ve hosted, and to be honest at first, I wasn’t sure if we should offer. Parking in our neighborhood can be tricky, and we’d never had more than seven people in our home at one time. In fact, we only have seats for 12 total!

But we put aside those small obstacles, and each week been it has been a joy to see our home so full.

Don’t wait until everything is perfect, just do.
