This past week as I’ve pulled onto our street I’ve been struck by the trees that line our streets driveways. They’ve been the most radiant red orange I’ve ever seen up close and its made my heart so happy to see them everyday.

However long we’re here, I want to find joy in the details of this home – like the color of the trees just as fall begins to say hello.

For me, being content in a home {whether renting or owning}, extends outside of the walls too. If the town or city isn’t an overall good fit, it’s might be more difficult to get settled.

One of the things G and I like to do to figure out a new city is trying out different restaurants. This was something we did while we lived in North Carolina, and we’ve loved continuing it on here in the Augusta area!

A few months ago we decided to purchase a new {larger} bed for our master bedroom. This gave us an opportunity to use our old bed and finally create a guest room!

Previously, our “guest room” was really just an unfinished office, with a desk and another piece of furniture. But whenever we added the bed, it quickly made the whole house more like a home.

While purchasing a new bed was an investment, it’s something that will carry over for future homes – and the best part – it allows us to open our home to family and friends.
